About Me

I’m Lisa, founder of Brush & Berry Designs. I remember the first time I discovered vintage bottle brush trees in a small antiques shop in Rhode Island. The trees were so fun and whimsical with their bright colored fruits, miniature pine cones and glitter. Sadly, the trees were not for sale. They were the shop owner’s personal collection.

Over the next 10 years, during the holiday season, I would add a few more trees to my collection. However, vintage bottle brush trees are very expensive and difficult to find in good condition.

I began researching the history of bottle brush trees and how they were decorated, and began purchasing vintage fruits and flowers from antiques shops and millinery shops to decorate my own sisal trees. I fell in love with making these trees and decided to turn my hobby into a small business. I also have a passion for native gardening, cooking, and baking bread. I live with my husband and two children in a small town in Rhode Island.
